“When I was 14 and racing the occasional beginner race, I got my first  training plan from Jason… it was a month-long calendar that gave me a training focus  each week, but no specific workouts. Now, six years later, Jason and I talk nearly  every day, and he is still the only person I trust to put me in a position to win.  And boy is it ever working! This year alone I won two National Championships and am  now racing World Cups around the globe with the US National team. There is absolutely  no way I would be where I am without Jason’s careful guidance along the way. Some  of the most well-respected coaches in the nation have offered to work with me,  but I have continued working with Jason because I know how important it is to have a  coach who has real concern for me as an individual, not just as an athlete. He has  the ability to crack the whip when it is necessary, but knows that no matter how fit  an athlete is, he or she won’t race fast unless they are mentally fit too. Jason has  become a confidant, close friend and mentor, and has always been an incredible
coach, and I am eternally grateful for his work, and look forward to working with him  for years into the future.”

Details of the Recommendation: “For the past eight years, Jason and I have worked closely toward many goals in my career. We started small and now have our eyes on the Olympics. I absolutely wouldn’t have won any of my collegiate, U23 or Professional National Championships without Jason’s guidance.”

“I have worked with Jason Jablonski since December of 2004 as a client for one-on-one coaching. I am a 42-year-old female and my goals are improved cycling and running efficiency. Throughout the past year, we have worked on changes to my form, and have made improvements in both disciplines. Jason has the ability to analyze and observe very objectively. I have contact with him in person and via email and phone. He is excellent at “seeing the bigger picture” from the heart rate data and subjective commentary I send to him. I have a varied and sometimes demanding work schedule in a cardiac catheterization lab, and Jason has been great at plugging in downtime or an extra push, depending on my needs. Under Jason’s guidance, I have completed my first full season of Duathlon- culminating in a qualification for National Age Group Championships to be held in May. The only injury I experienced was a strained quadriceps, the only illness, a cold. Both of these resolved within a week. As a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer (June 1998 to date), I find Jason’s knowledge of training and conditioning principles to be sound. His extensive racing experience compliments his coaching. Jason is very personable and approachable. He seems to have the inexhaustible energy reserve that only those who are truly passionate about their endeavors possess. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his talents to anyone.”

“I never knew what training actually was before I began working with Jason. Of course I did the usual group rides, swam laps (rhythmic drowning is how those around me described it) and did what I considered to be a decent amount of running, but was getting nowhere. I initially called Jason after getting dropped on a road ride by a kid on a full suspension mountain bike, I knew I needed help. Upon hiring Jason as my coach that all changed. Jason took the time to get to know me, my strengths, my weaknesses, my training style and developed a specific and focused plan to achieve the goals I had set for myself (initially it was not getting dropped and progressed from there very rapidly). Each workout had a goal and a specific outcome. Having a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science, I have a strong understanding of the science that goes into training the human body, but no one I have worked with has excelled at the art of training the way Jason does. His ability to tweak the small things for big outcomes has been invaluable. Without a doubt, hiring Jason as a coach was the best investment in triathlon performance I could have made. He was always available to answer questions, offer support, explain the how’s and why’s and he even put up with my neurotic tendencies. On top of his abilities as a coach, he is a great person who is fun to work with and I can’t thank him enough for the help he has provided me. I can say without reservation that if it were not for Jason, I would never have achieved the level of success I now enjoy!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Jason Jablonski’s SET Coaching. Not only does Jason own a wealth of knowledge, personal experience, and world class accomplishments, he really understands how to help athletes get the most out of their time and effort. Gone are the days of brutal “no pain, no gain training.” Welcome efficient workouts that maximize your individual potential. Jason can customize a workout for a busy 50-year-old weekend warrior who wants to stay strong or for an 18-year-old competitor racing in national and world championships. He is able to do both with a commitment to excellence, a passion for the sport, and constant communication with the athlete. Jason has the long-term experience and understanding that programs need to be enjoyable so training and improvements can continue over a lifetime, not just over a few short weeks of hard work.”

“My left leg always felt a little less stable then my right. Jason (and his RETUL dynamic testing equipment) analyzed my position under power. With a few slight tweaks using shims, spacers and adjusting saddle position, Jason was able to balance my power and significantly improve the stability of my left leg. The positive effect is significant, particularly late in the ride/race when fatigue would amplify the troubles. With my new position/fit, both legs remain stable and drive the pedals squarely, even long after fatigue sets in… definitely improving performance and comfort on the bike, Jason’s RETUL fit Rocks!”

“I completed Ironman Florida on November 7, 2009.  I finished in 9:46:21 for 105th /2325 overall and 13th/400 finishers in the M40-44 age group.  This was my 5th Ironman since 1994 and a PR for me by over 34 minutes.  I think the big difference at Florida was how well I felt when I got off the bike.  My marathon time of 3:22 was an Ironman marathon PR by 19 minutes.  I felt great right off the bike and all of the run.  I was 5th in my age group on the run.  I was telling a running buddy that it was probably one of the most comfortable marathons I have ever run.  I attribute my success to your bike fit as well as my training program. After 5 hours on the bike on race day, my back did not hurt at all.  I think that was due to you moving me forward on the seat and aero-bars so that my back wasn’t so stretched out. I’m going to try for Hawaii again in the 2012 Ironman Canada and I will look you up before then for a follow-up bike fit.  I have told many of my triathlon buddies about your bike fit program.  It was definitely worth the cost and I would recommend it to anyone trying to be more competitive in a triathlon.”
